As US IPO activity strengthens, Brolma Advisory says growing companies need to address financial reporting, technical accounting and internal control requirements long before a public-market transaction begins.
The recovery in the US initial public offering market is putting renewed focus on an issue that can be underestimated by companies preparing for public-market transactions: whether the finance function is actually ready to operate as a public company. According to data published by the US Securities and Exchange Commission, there were 208 IPOs in the first six months of 2026, compared with 180 during the same period in 2025, an increase of approximately 16%.
