ProgressSoft, the leading provider of real-time payment solutions, started running live today the Seychelles Electronic Fund Transfer (SEFT) system that has been implemented with the cooperation of the Central Bank of Seychelles (CBS) and the Seychelles Credit Union (SCU).
SEFT will facilitate and improve the interbank funds transfer service. The new system which is entirely based locally in Seychelles provides a common platform for all participating members to conduct their transfers in an efficient and safe manner. This covers all banks of the Seychelles islands, including Barclays Bank, Mauritius Commercial Bank, Bank of Baroda, Habib Bank, Nouvobanq, Seychelles Savings Bank and Bank Muscat International.
