The expense and "nickel and dime" nature of QuickBooks accounting software has driven most small, local accountants to avoid the software altogether. Online options are becoming increasingly popular.
Atlanta, GA - In a recent study, Secrets of Marketing Accounting asked small local practitioners which tax preparation software they use. Out of 14 different top brands listed, nearly half of respondents stated that they use something other than what was on the list. Of those 14 top brands, only three names achieved any measurable use among local practitioners. QuickBooks was used by 40% of accountants, Peachtree by 17%, and Simply Accounting by 3%.
