There has been a massive increase in demand for gold from central banks.
MIAMI, FL - Despite a somewhat disappointing week, there is still evidence of considerable physical demand for gold. The World Gold Council announced a 6% increase in demand for gold during the third quarter of 2011, despite record-breaking prices. Additionally, there was a 33% increase in investment demand compared to the same period last year.
