Disappointing US employment figures helped push gold upward again.
MIAMI, FL - Gold prices strengthened again today, September 2, on disappointing US employment figures. There was zero growth in the non-farms payroll sector, set against expectations of around 80,000 and unemployment was again over 9%. Disappointing job figures led to speculation that the Federal Reserve will introduce a further round of quantitative easing in an attempt to help the situation; this would serve to push gold even higher.
