Second annual contest to award nearly $45,000 to local educators and their schools.
OnPoint Community Credit Union, the largest credit union in Oregon, announced the details of their 2011 OnPoint Prize for Excellence in Education contest last Friday evening at the OnPoint Celebrity Spelling Bee. The second annual contest will award nearly $45,000 to deserving public and private K-12 teachers and their schools, including paying the mortgage for one year of the Educator of the Year, plus provide $5000 to the respective teacher's school for necessary resources and supplies.
