GigatonGifts was launched in December by a group of Silicon Valley parents concerned about deforestation. Volunteer parents developed the GigatonGifts website (www.GigatonGifts.org), where people can purchase trees and solar stoves in Africa and Haiti as gifts.
GigatonGifts was launched in December of 2013 by a group of Silicon Valley parents concerned about the planet they will leave to their children. They identified open-fire cooking as an often overlooked source of many critical, interrelated planetary problems.
