The Owner of Dinas Powys-based Veterinary practice, Dinas Vets, has opened her first practice on Cardiff Road after securing funding from banking partner, The Royal Bank of Scotland ("RBS").

Emily Ward-Smith is now the proud owner of Dinas Vets, after she turned her dream into a reality. After receiving a BSc (Hons) degree in Zoology in 1995, Emily travelled extensively overseas before returning to Bristol University as a mature student to complete her qualifications as a Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences in 2007. She then worked as a Veterinary Assistant in several practices to learn what was involved before looking to realise her ambitions of one day opening her own practice.
