After $600,000 was raised online for bullied bus monitor Karen Klein author D.K. Smith hopes to benefit from the same type of crowd funding approach to fund a start-up business online.
Last month 68 year old bus monitor Karen Klein endured as four middle school boys barraged her with verbal abuse about her weight, her family and even made violent and graphic threats. In the end she was rewarded for her endurance as kind hearts from all over the country contributed to an effort to send her on a much needed vacation.
Though the goal is quite different, children's author D.K. Smith is seeking to build public support for a new business through the same type of crowd funding app...
